What Is a Math Solver?
This math solver has two modes. The Expression Solver evaluates any arithmetic expression — including roots, trigonometric functions, logarithms, and parentheses — and shows the result as you type. The Equation Solver finds the value of x for linear and quadratic equations, including cases with complex (imaginary) roots.

Frequently Asked Questions
It supports standard arithmetic (+, -, *, /, ^), parentheses, square roots, absolute value, logarithms, and trigonometric functions such as sin, cos, and tan.
By default, trig functions use radians. To use degrees, write the unit after the number, for example "sin(30 deg)".
Yes. For quadratic equations where the discriminant is negative, the solver shows the two complex roots in the form a ± bi.
